A LETTER FROM THE PALACE

Last term, Year 5 and 6 organised a Tea Party to raise money for the mental health charity "Heads Together". They also created SATS survival bags to help them to tackle stress. Some of the children wrote to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who helped to set up Heads Together, to tell them what they had done. This week, the children all received an amazing surprise - a personal letter from the Duke and Duchess’ Office in Kensington Palace, thanking the children for taking the trouble to write, and expressing their interest in all the things that the children had done.

NEW ARRIVALS

Class 15 and Class 18 have been very excited this week watching their baby chicks hatch. The photographs show Class 15’s chicks, who have been proudly named Jo, Sid, Max, Noel and Weller!

PARENT DROP-IN SESSIONS

We would like to invite all our parents to come to our Drop-in sessions next week.

RWInc/Literacy drop-in - Tues 17th April

Maths drop-in -Wed 18th April

Please come into your child’s classroom from 8.45am; you will be able to read with your child, then accompany them to their lesson at 9.05am.

If you have several children in school and would like to visit more than one class, please tell the teacher so that they can arrange for you to be taken to the next class.

ACTS OF KINDNESS

During the summer term the nursery children are reading lots of traditional tales as part of our topic, ‘Once Upon a Time in Nursery.’ This week we have been reading The Elves and the Shoemaker and thinking about ways that the children could be kind like the elves in the story. Our acts of kindness this week have involved baking brownies for all of the teachers in school and arranging appointments for grown ups to come to nursery to have their shoes polished!

NEW OFFICE MANAGER

This week we welcomed our new Office Manager, Mrs Malhi-Kainth.
