CHILDREN IN NEED AND ARBO ACTIVATORS

Last Friday we all had great fun, raising money and getting active with Children in Need Day and Arbo Activators.  We all dressed up in yellow and spotty clothes in aid of Children in Need, and the younger children took part in a “Teddy Bears’ Picnic”.  Then after lunch, we went out onto the field for “Arbo Activators”, when we took part in fun activities.  Thank you to all the staff for their hard work in organising this, and to all the parents who came along to watch.

Congratulations to everyone who took part;

we raised an amazing £495.95 for Children in Need!

PUPIL DETAILS

Next week we will be sending out Pupil Details forms to check that all the information we have on our system for your child is correct.  It is very important that we have the most up-to-date information, so please check it carefully and return to school as soon as possible.  All forms returned by Friday 9th December will be entered into a draw to win a prize!

Assertive Mentoring Meetings

On the 6th, 7th and 8th December we will be holding our Assertive Mentoring meetings, when you will be able to meet with your child’s teacher to discuss their progress and how you can help to support their learning.  Please make sure you return your form to the class teacher by Wednesday 30th November to book your appointment.

PE KIT

Please ensure that your child has their PE kit in school every day, and that it is all named.

They need:

White T-shirt

Black shorts / Jogging bottoms

Trainers for outside

Black pumps for indoors

Jacket or sweatshirt for winter

Named bag to keep it in.

Children in football club will need a second PE kit which may get muddy when they play outside.

Replica football kit and other expensive items are not suitable PE kit, and MUST NOT be brought into school

Eddie the Penguin Saves the World

The KS1 children are busy rehearsing for our winter musical, which is taking place on Friday 2nd December.

Friends and family will receive an invitation to come and watch their talented children perform.

If you are coming to watch, please make sure you arrive in plenty of time - we will not let late parents in as it is not fair on the children.

ILLNESS

We  currently have a lot of children with a sickness (vomiting) bug.

The best way to stop illnesses like this spreading is through good cleanliness, particularly hand washing, so please encourage your children to wash their hands well, particularly before eating or after going to the toilet.

If your child does have a vomiting bug, they must stay away from school for 48 hours after the vomiting has finished, to make sure they are clear of infection so that they do not pass it on to other children.

Thank you for your help in trying to prevent this unpleasant illness.
