25 YEARS AT ARBORETUM

Congratulations to Mrs Wright, who has been teaching at Arboretum Primary School for 25 years. She received a special award from Derby City Council to recognise this amazing achievement! A huge thank you to Miss Wright for her dedication to the school, and the contribution she has made to so many pupils over the years. Some of her old pupils are parents themselves now!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We would like to wish all our children and their families a very peaceful, happy and prosperous 2017 from everyone at Arboretum.

100% Attendance Prizes

At the end of last term, Mr Scott and Mrs Burdis gave out prizes for 100% attendance. Every child who had not been absent since September was able to choose a brand new book to take home. We had 187 winners in total: 17 from Foundation stage; 55 from Year 1/2; 64 from Year 3/4 and 51 from Year 5/6. Well done to all these children - you are stars!

Class 3 Assertive Mentoring Meetings

Mrs Allsopp will be holding assertive mentoring meetings for Class 3 parents next Wednesday and Thursday (18th and 19th). Please make sure you know what time your appointment is. They will be held in the parent meeting room, so come to the Office for your appointment.

SCHOLASTIC BOOKS

Please return all book orders to school by

Friday 27th January.

Make sure that all orders include your child's name, class, book code number and title. Please put them in an envelope with full payment and your child’s name, class and “Book Order” written on it. Every order that you place will earn points that we can spend on books for the school.
