"We love reading in Nursery"

Thank you to Iqra’s and Aaliya’s mums for coming into Nursery to read a story to the children. The children always enjoy storytime, but it is made even more special when we have a visitor to read to them. Parents are always welcome to come in and read a story to the children; please speak to any of the teachers in Nursery if you would like to come in and read.

Parental Support
This week we held the prize draw for all the parents who came into school during the autumn term. Congratulations to the following children who won a fun game to play with their families.
Sinead Class 16
Sahil Class 13
Ruzgar Class 6
Sultan Class 3
We hope you all enjoy the games - the teachers had great fun choosing some of their favourites for you!

ATTENDANCE
Well done to classes 10 and 13, who managed to get 100% attendance last week, even with all the bugs that are going round.
Remember, your child does not need to miss school just because they have a cold.

Have you applied for Free School Meals?

As well as getting a free, healthy dinner for your child each day, we will also provide your child with one free item of uniform, free school trips and free school clubs including Breakfast Club, after school clubs and holiday clubs.

SPORTS NEWS

Well done to Fezan and Rehan on their performance in the table tennis County Championships. They both competed well but didn’t make it to the knockout stages. They held their own and did themselves proud against players who represent England and Great Britain. We hope the experience has inspired them to keep practising and try to do even better next year!

The Year 5/6 football team finished in 5th place in the indoor football league held at the Soccerdome. We are really pleased with their performance as it is the highest an Arboretum team has finished in the league in over 12 years of competing. Well done, boys!
