LOOKING AFTER NORMANTON
The School Council took part in a litter picking activity on Wednesday 14th March around the streets of Normanton. This was organised with members of the City Council and local police officers. The aim behind the litter pick is to show the local community that people can make a difference and to encourage more people to take pride in their community. In an hour we collected 7 large bags of rubbish and made a big difference to the appearance of streets and green areas close to school. We will be repeating this regularly in the summer term. Well done to all school council members who do a great job in representing the school in a range of important initiatives.
END OF TERM
We wish all our families a peaceful and enjoyable holiday.
Happy Easter to everyone who will be celebrating it.
We look forward to seeing all our children back in school on Monday 9th April.
Goodbye Mrs Walker
Today we say “Goodbye” to our brilliant Office Manager, Mrs Walker. We wish her and her family all the best as they set off on an amazing adventure in Dubai. We will all miss her.
Sale for Sami
As you know, Key Stage 1 had been thinking about what it is like to be a child living in Syria. We are delighted to tell you that our ‘Sale for Sami’ on March 9th and our non-uniform day on March 16th have raised a grand total of £409. We were overwhelmed by the generosity you have shown; from giving us toys and books to sell, coming to the sale itself, donating at the classroom door and taking part in the non-uniform day. It is so important to us to create caring, thoughtful adults of the future. Thank you so much for helping us to do this.
Letters on Website
From next term, all letters that are sent out to parents will also be placed on the school website, so if you have lost your copy, or need to check up on the details, they will be easily accessible.
