YEAR 6 “GO APE”!

Year 6 children were rewarded with an adventure day at Go Ape on Friday 17th May for all their hard work, resilience and effort during the SATs week. They all showed magnificent  teamwork on the hi-rope course, supporting friends (and teachers) who were a bit nervous, and by the end of their session were mastering the harder course like pros! They really enjoyed the day, and many did not want it to end! Mrs Darling and the year 5/6 team would like to once again congratulate the children in all their efforts during the SATs week and the months leading up to it!

Scientists in Nursery!

We have been sharing the story 'Firefly Home' in Nursery. The children have been exploring different sources of light and have been asking lots of fantastic questions. We decided to explore light and electricity as the children worked together to create simple circuits. We were very impressed with their concentration and team work!

RECEPTION VISIT TO CHATSWORTH

This half term, Reception have been learning about how to care for the farm animals and the ways that they can help us in our life. To support their learning they visited Chatsworth, where they  met lots of lovely farm animals and learned about how they are looked after.  They also had great fun in the play area!  Their teachers were very proud of how well they all behaved.

NURSERY ADMISSIONS

We are filling places for our 3 year old nursery for September.  If your child is on the waiting list you should have received a phone call or letter.  If you haven’t been contacted, or you know of any children who would like a place in our Nursery who are not already on the waiting list, come into the office with their birth certificate - please avoid the busy times of 8:45 - 9:15am and 3:00 - 3:30pm.

Eid Mubarak

We wish all our Muslim families "Eid Mubarak" for their special celebration after the holidays.  If you will be celebrating Eid, then your child may have one day's absence - please let the class teacher know which day they will be absent.
