YEAR 3/4 IMMERSION DAY
On Thursday, Years 3 and 4 had an immersion day for their topic on Natural Disasters. Classes 12 and 13 looked at Japan all day. In the morning they created fact files on Japan and completed Sei Shonagon puzzles in maths. In the afternoon they made origami animals and painted the Great Wave of Kanagawa with the help of their parents.
Classes 9, 10 and 11 spent the day studying Italy - learning Italian language, finding out information about Italy and completing some art activities based on the country as well. Parents joined us in the afternoon to finish our mosaics, Leaning Towers of Pisa and pots .
Thank you very much to all the parents who came along to join us.
Getting Parents Involved
It is very valuable when parents come into school. To recognise this, we give out tickets each time a parent comes to an event. Then each term we pick out one ticket per phase to win a prize. The prizes for Spring term were craft activities for children to play with their families. The winners were: Zi Chen Wang from FS, Aiza Huussain from Year 1/2, Halima Ased from Year 3/4 and Alena Pohlodkova from Year 5/6.
Don’t forget, Monday is a Bank Holiday, so there is NO SCHOOL. We are back as normal on Tuesday.
The Not So Vicious Viking
Year 3 and 4 have been practising hard for their production of “The Not So Vicious Viking”, and they hope that all their parents will be able to come and watch it on Friday 5th May
There will be 2 performances - please arrive by 9:20am or 1:50pm to get your seats. Please note the doors will close promptly, and no late arrivals will be allowed into the performance.
