How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth!
This week, Nursery's book of the week has been 'How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth'. We decided to wash something that was really big to us too. We couldn’t wash a woolly mammoth, so we washed teacher's cars instead! We did a great job, working hard and using our listening skills, and the teachers were all really impressed by how sparkly their cars were. The teachers bought tickets to have their cars washed, and the nursery children are going to donate the money raised to an endangered animals charity for endangered animals.
Year 6 SATS
Our Year 6 children will be sitting their SATS tests next week, and we wish them every success.
Please make sure that your child is able to do their best with the correct preparation. They should get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast. They can come into school for a free breakfast at 8:00 and join breakfast club, or come in to school as normal at 8:45. Please DO NOT ARRIVE LATE!
Our Year 6 were all presented with special “Year 6” jumpers - don’t they look smart! We expect our Year 6 children to act as role models for the younger children in school, and their new jumpers help everyone to identify them.
Inter-School Cricket Festival
On Tuesday our Kwik cricket teams took part in a Kwik cricket festival against Dale School at Arboretum Park. Arboretum Knight Riders (256/0) beat Dale 1 (216/6), while Arboretum Gladiators (185/8) lost to Dale 2 (235/7)
