Royal Wedding Street Party

On Thursday the weather was kind to us as we held our street party to celebrate the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. A big thank you to Nora and her team for making all the delicious food, and to everyone who helped to set up and clear away afterwards. We all had a great time!

NURSERY NEWS

We are currently allocating Nursery places for September. If you know anyone who would like a place, or is waiting for a place and hasn’t heard from us, please contact the school office.

Lots of children in our Nursery have been going home with the wrong jumpers and/or jackets. Please could parents check to see that they have the right clothes at home and make sure that all clothes are labelled with their child’s name and class.

Many thanks,

YEAR 3/4 TRIP TO CONKERS

Last week Year 3/4 visited Conkers. The children made paper, looked at the wormery and played on the adventure park.

Head Lice

Head lice are a normal part of childhood. They are particularly common amongst primary school children, so it is important to check your child’s hair regularly, at least once a week, by combing with a fine tooth comb, and tie it back if it is long.

If you find any head lice, please treat them immediately and tell your child’s teacher. A pharmacist can advise you on the best way to treat them. If you ask about the “Pharmacy First” scheme, you may be able to get treatment free of charge - local pharmacies who offer this include Lloyds, Manor and Pear Tree Pharmacies.

CLASS PHOTOGRAPHS

Tempest photography will be in school next Friday 25th May. Please make sure your child looks neat and tidy for their photo!

Sample photos will be displayed in class in a week or two when we receive them from Tempest.
