LIVING IN A DISASTER ZONE

This term Year 3 and 4 have been looking at what it is like to live in a disaster zone. They have found out all about earthquakes and volcanoes, and this week even made their own working models of a volcano erupting!

ANIMAL ELECTIONS

On Thursday 8th June, all the adults in Britain will be voting for a new government. At Arboretum, we will be holding our own elections between the animal parties - Elephants, Lions, Dolphins and Butterflies. The candidates have been chosen, and they will be putting together their manifestos and organising their campaigns to persuade the other pupils to vote for them.

SUMMER REMINDERS

Summer has finally arrived - just in time for the half term holidays. Can we please remind you of a few things to remember in hot weather:

Sun Hats - please make sure child has a suitable hat in school every day. Arboretum caps are on sale from the Office.

Sun screen - please apply to your child before school. We have sunscreen dispensers in the classrooms, so children will be able to top up their sunscreen from these, unless you have signed a form to say that you do not want them to.

Water bottles - please make sure you child brings a water bottle to school everyday. It should be named, and taken home each night to be washed. Water bottles can be bought from the Office.

THANK YOU

Our non-uniform day last week raised £199.10. Thank you to Miss Ford for organising it and everyone who took part.

SCHOOL DRESSES

It’s lovely to see the girls looking so summery in their summer dresses, but please remember that school uniform is green and white checked dresses; other colours are not allowed.

FOUND

A Taweez was found on the school field a couple of weeks ago. If you recognise it, please see Miss Paget.
