KS1 VISIT TO THE NATIONAL SPACE CENTRE

We have been counting down for weeks to our visit to the National Space Centre and finally on Friday 6th October the time came for us to blast off to Leicester! When we arrived we went straight into the Sir Patrick Moore planetarium for a show called ‘Night and day’ which was all about the sun, moon and stars. The planetarium was really dark but everyone was very brave. We enjoyed looking round the space centre, particularly the International Space Station (ISS), seeing real-life space rockets and learning about what it is like to live in space. Classes also made a weather report and we could watch ourselves on TV. We all agreed it had been a very exciting place to visit.
