A VISIT FROM DAME MARGARET BECKETT

During animal week, the children learnt about the amazing endangered animals that live on our planet. The whole school created lots of fabulous work: fact files, reports, posters, stories and art work. We finished our week with a visit from Dame Margaret Beckett, our local MP. A child from each class shared a piece of animal work with her, and had the opportunity to ask lots of fantastic questions about what the government is doing to help these animals. It was fantastic to see the children speaking with a member of parliament.

SCIENCE AFTERNOON

This week, the Year 5 and 6 children enjoyed an exciting afternoon of science. A real scientist came into school to demonstrate some cool experiments, then the children were able to try out some activities themselves.

Mr Scott will be holding his first Parent Forum on Monday 13th November, to give parents an opportunity to have a say in how the school works. If you would like to be involved, please come to the Office at 9:00am on 13th November.

Important - Parent Drop-Ins

It is very important for parents to be involved in their children’s learning, and the children love to invite their parents into school, to see what they do. We will be holding parent drop-in sessions next week during Literacy and Maths, to give you a chance to find out more about your child’s learning. We hope you will come and join us.
