We are looking to appoint a hard-working, diligent, flexible and experienced member of the admin team to lead and manage our happy, lively, professional and supportive office.

We are a large 643 place primary (which includes 40 children in our 2 year old unit and 78 in our 3 year old nursery), with a rich ethnic mix of delightful and well-behaved children. Our modern school has recently been refurbished and extensively extended and sits in large attractive grounds. We pride ourselves in our caring ethos and the value we place in our dedicated and friendly staff teams. We are a popular school, and have a waiting list for most year groups.

Arboretum is a Good school, as confirmed at our recent Ofsted short inspection (November 2017). The inspectors felt that: “The pupils’ positive attitudes to learning and their respectful behaviour reflect the school’s values and the leaders’ good work to promote pupils’ personal development and welfare”.

The successful candidate will report to the School Business Manager, and be responsible for the effective management of the school office, providing high quality support to the school staff, pupils, parents and visitors.

They will have excellent numerical, financial and IT skills to provide support to the School Business Manager, and continue to improve the processes within our up-to-date and well-equipped office. They will demonstrate that they are a team player, whose excellent communication skills support our friendly office team in helping staff, parents and other visitors to our large, modern school. They will also need to be highly flexible and adaptable to respond to our school’s daily routines and be resilient in the face of pressure as we aim for the highest professional standards.
