YEAR 3 AND YEAR 4 Monday 6th July 2020
Hello LKS2 parents and carers,
Welcome to the penultimate newsletter. Would you even have thought all those weeks ago that we would still not be in school?
It has been a tough few months, with some good times and some low times. I can honestly say, I can’t wait until we are all back in school even though we don’t know what that will look like.
Key stage 2 team update
All the staff continue to complete their online training and are busy making resources for the home learning packs. We are also beginning to plan and make resources for our return to school.
This week, I have completed lots of school work, made resources for our new topic and picked some strawberries for Miss Paget, Mrs Credland, Miss Jones and Miss Dolbinska to eat in school, I also rang the parents and children in my class which really cheered me up.
Mrs Baker has been completing online learning, getting ready for going back to school in September, went for a walk in the countryside with Mr Baker, spent time with her daughter Grace and rang lots of parents.
Mrs Bexon has been to York, completed online learning, has been getting ready for going back to work in September and has been in touch with parents and children.
Miss Paget had another amazing week with Mrs Credland at school and dropped round to see Mrs Cross with some art resources.
Miss Allen has been on a few walks and visited her mum and dad.
Miss Ford completed work at home but also popped into school and saw lots of staff, which she enjoyed. She had a friend round for dinner one evening and took her mum to Findern Garden Centre for a cup of tea. It was the first time her mum had been out since lockdown!
Mrs Credland has been in school with Miss Paget, teaching maths, literacy and doing lots of drawing in the afternoons. She also went to her parent’s house on Saturday to celebrate their 33rd Wedding Anniversary with tea and cake.
Mrs Dundon-Innis completed all the school reports for her class, went on a science course, spent some time with baby Paul who has learnt to sit up and watched Frozen 2.
Mrs Iqbal has been completing online learning, lots of home learning with Aila and finally her youngest daughter’s tooth came through so she managed to get two nights of decent sleep!
Miss Worrall has been completing her online learning, had a walk around Wollaton Park with her girl’s grandparents and had a play date with Mrs Linnecor’s daughter.
Mrs Ridgard has been completing some online courses, has been making resources for September, helped Mr Ridgard clear out the garage and spent some time with her sister-in-law and nephew.
Take care until next week.
