Thank you for all the support you have given your children this term.
Children cannot learn on an empty stomach as their brain does not function well enough. Please make sure that your children have breakfast by either sending them to Breakfast Club or feeding them at home. Eating breakfast helps children to stay healthy and also to do well in their learning.
Inayat Ahmed Class1 won the prize for the returned update forms.
We have raised a magnificent £354 for Children in Need. Many thanks to all staff who helped with this, especially Miss Javid and Miss Burdis. We also raised £174.22 for the Poppy appeal – thank you.
I know you will be so proud of your children for their performances in ‘Frozen’ and ‘Shine Star, Shine’. The teachers do a magnificent job in preparing the children for these and offering them the opportunity to take part so confidently in such events.
On Friday 12th December we are marking the Christmas truce in the trenches by holding a staff v pupils football match – please ask your children to talk to you about it.

In order to keep your children safe, we closely manage gate opening times. I know you want your child to do well, so please ensure that they are ready to go into their classrooms as the doors open at 8.45 am. Gates are locked promptly at 8.55, 13.05 and 15.40 to protect children and any latecomers will need to go to the main entrance in order to enter the school. Gates are open as follows: 08:30 to 08:55, (11:25 to 11:40 for nursery), 11:55 to 12:05, (12:25 to 12:40 for nursery), 12:55 to 13:05, 15:15 to 15:40
I wish all our families a peaceful and joyous Christmas time and a happy and healthy 2015. We return to school on Monday 5th January.
