Dear Parents and Carers,

We are looking forward to welcoming most of our children back to school on Monday 4th January, in line with the Government guidelines.

Unfortunately, due to insufficient staffing available in school, we will need to move to remote learning for children in Classes 8, 10, 11 and 13.  This means that the children in these classes will not be able to attend school unless they are in one of these categories:

  • Children with an Education, Health and Care Plan
  • Children of Key Workers
  • Children with a Social Worker

Remote education will be provided to all pupils who are not in school. Further details about the remote learning will be provided as soon possible on Monday 4th January 2021.

Please remember that children must not be sent to school if they have symptoms of coronavirus or they are self-isolating.

We are continuing to monitor staffing levels very closely and our wish is for all children to be back in school as soon as possible. We are working hard to make arrangements for this and apologise for any inconvenience that the move to remote learning will cause. As a school, we must ensure that we have sufficient levels of staffing to offer a safe environment to all children and unfortunately, we are not in a position to do this on Monday 4th January.

We will contact you again as soon as possible with a date for your child to return to school.

If you have any questions or concerns about your child or the operation of the school, please contact the school.

Yours sincerely,

Nigel Daintith

Head Teacher
