We are looking to appoint a midday supervisor to join our team.  You will work with our large and friendly midday staffing team to ensure that our children have happy, healthy and safe lunchtimesThis will involve supervising the children in and around the dining halls, ensuring that they eat healthy, balanced meals; and in the playground, where you will organise and supervise activities to engage the children.  At all times, you will help to maintain the high standards of behaviour that we expect at Arboretum.

We are a large 635 place primary (which includes 32 children in our 2 year old unit and 78 in our 3 year old nursery), with a rich ethnic mix of delightful and well-behaved children. Our modern school has recently been refurbished and extensively extended and sits in large attractive grounds.  We pride ourselves in our caring ethos and the value we place in our dedicated and friendly staff teams.  We are a popular school, and have a waiting list for most year groups.

Arboretum is a Good school, as confirmed at our recent Ofsted short inspection (November 2017). The inspectors felt that: “The pupils’ positive attitudes to learning and their respectful behaviour reflect the school’s values and the leaders’ good work to promote pupils’ personal development and welfare”.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Assessment and testing of candidate’s suitability to work with children is an integral part of our selection process. An enhanced DBS check is also required for successful candidates.

You can call into school to collect an application pack, but please wear a mask to protect our staff.

Please complete the DDAT Support Staff Application Form and the DDAT Monitoring form, including the contact details for TWO referees whom we may contact regarding your application.  Please note that applications that do not include referee details will not be considered.

All applications must be made on the correct forms – we do not accept CVs or any other form of application.

Completed applications can be returned to the school, or via email to
