MATHS COMPETITION
Just before the holidays, we held our annual school maths competition. All the children took part in maths challenges in their classes, then the winner from each class went through into the Grand Finals. These were held in the halls, one for Reception and Key Stage 1 and one for Key Stage 2. These contests were very exciting, and the contestants showed amazing maths talents. The final winners for each year group, who each won a maths game, were:
Reception - Yousuf
Year 1 - Tony
Year 2 - Abigail
Year 3 - Jun Kai
Year 4 - Daanish
Year 5 - Ahmed
Year 6 - Ashton
Well done to all our finalists, and a big congratulations to our winners!
Happy New Year
2019!
We are pleased to welcome all the children back to school after the holidays.
TAKEAWAY DAY
Next Thursday, 17th January, we will be having a special Italian -themed lunch, with a choice of Pizza and chips or pasta, and ice-cream for dessert, all in a take-away container. All children are welcome, even if they don’t normally have a school dinner. The cost of a school dinner is £1.80 per day, but children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, as well as children eligible for free school meals, do not need to pay.
Letters on the Website
Reminder: all letters that are sent out to parents will also be placed on the school website, so if you have lost your copy, or need to check up on the details, they will be easily accessible.

MEDICINES IN SCHOOL
Children MUST NOT bring any medicines into school. Medicines should be given at home wherever possible. If it is necessary for a child to have medicine during the school day, then this should be brought to the school office by a parent or other adult, where they will be asked to sign a permission form. All medicines must be in their original container, with the child’s name on.
