REAL LIFE SUPERHEROES
The nursery children have been finding out about real life superheroes this half term. This week the children have been investigating the case of the missing library books! We set up our own crime scene and investigation board. The children made wanted posters, wrote letters to suspects and took finger prints. On Wednesday we had a visit from some local police officers, they showed us their emergency vehicles and let the children sit inside; they even pretended to arrest Miss Grattidge!
TABLE TENNIS STARS
On Tuesday, Fezan and Hassnain represented the school in the County under 11 Table Tennis Finals. They were fantastic!
Fezan said “I felt really proud to be in the finals” and Hassnain said “It was great fun to play against really good players.”
They won a number of games, with Fezan finishing 4th overall. Well done boys!
Thank you to Mr Akhtar for his support in coaching the boys.
ART CLUB
After half term, Mrs Pearson will be running an exciting new Art Club for Key Stage 2. It will be every Tuesday from 3.15 pm till 4.25 pm, starting from Tuesday 5th March. The children will be able to try painting, drawing, craft, recycling art and much more!
There will be limited places, so please look out for the new clubs letter from Mr Malooq in a couple of weeks to sign up.
AEROPLANE EXPERIMENTS
Class 3 made some paper aeroplanes, we tested them out in the classroom to see how far they would go. The children tried different ideas to see if it would change how the plane travelled; they jumped and ran. The children then predicted what would happen to the aeroplane if we took it outside. A lot of children thought it would go further and higher because of the wind. We tested it out on the playground and their predictions were correct!
Reminder
All dinner money must be in an envelope with your child’s name, class and the amount written on it
