YEAR 6 VISIT TO CONDOVER
Last week, 24 year 6 children were lucky enough to go on their first school residential to Condover Hall. It was a very busy, but extremely fun, few days! Every child who went was a real credit to the school, showing such wonderful support and kindness to one another. As well as taking part in lots of team activities, which really helped them to bond and learn key skills, they also took part in some exciting adventurous activities such as zip-lining and abseiling! This took real resilience and braveness, as the abseiling tower was very high! A big thank you to Miss Allen and Mr Pemberton who helped support this trip with Mrs Darling. We hope the year 6 children will cherish the memories they made.
WATERSTONES VISITS
This week and next week, all of our children are being given the chance to choose a book to keep. Nursery children will choose in school, but all the others have a visit to the Waterstones Bookshop in Derby, to experience a bookshop, and choose their book from the hundreds that are on display. Their selected books will be delivered to school shortly, and we hope that they all enjoy reading them.
