NEW PLAYGROUND MARKINGS
We hope you like our new playground markings which were installed during half term. The request for playground markings came from the children themselves, through the School Council meetings. The funding for them was provided from Miss Ford’s fundraising activities over the last 2 years, together with a grant from Derby City Council. The children were then invited to contribute to the design by taking part in a competition, and the four top ideas were used in the final design. The children (and staff!) have had great fun trying them out this week!
PARENT DROP-INS
The children love to invite their parents into school, to see what they do. We will be holding parent drop-in sessions next week during Literacy and Maths, to give you a chance to find out more about your child’s learning. We hope you will come and join us.
They will take place from 9:00-10:00am each day:
Tuesday 13th November - RWInc/Literacy
Wednesday 14th November - Maths
Please come into the classroom with your child when you bring them to school in the morning, and then you will go with them to their group; if you have more than one child you can move between groups within the allocated time.
FUNDRAISING
Our Non-uniform day before half term raised £234.82, which will go to purchase new bikes.
LUCKY ENVELOPES
From Monday 12th November, Lucky Envelopes will be on sale, every break time (until sold out) in the Zone. They cost 50p each and children can purchase as many as they like. There are over 50 prizes to be won, worth over £5 each and 3 golden prizes worth over £10.
CHILDREN IN NEED
We will be taking part in Children in Need Day this year on Friday 16th November.
All children are invited to wear their own clothes - either Yellow or spotty for a donation of 50p.
As the theme for this year is “Do your thing”, look out for information from your child’s class teacher for extra activities they may be organising.
PUPIL DETAILS UPDATE FORM
The winner of the prize draw for returning their update form was Aaminah from class 3.
If you have not yet returned your form, please do so as soon as possible, as it is important that we have up-to-date information on our system. Please return your form even if there are no changes, so that we know everything is up-to-date.
Thank you
