February Newsletter 2022
Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you are all well and looking forward to the half term holiday with your families. Please note we break up this Friday 18th February for a one week holiday and return to school on Monday 28th February.
We will continue to follow the latest advice about COVID restrictions and will update you on any changes that may occur. We look forward to the day when we can welcome you all back into school but at the moment we are doing everything we can to keep us all safe.
Please note that half term food vouchers will be ready for collection from the class teachers on Thursday and Friday this week – please make sure you see your child’s class teacher at the start or end of the day to collect these if you are eligible.
You will receive details from Mr Malooq about the activity clubs taking place over half term – I hope that your children enjoy these opportunities and that you make every effort to turn up each day if you have requested places.
All children can have access to a water bottle during the day if they wish – these will be kept on the side in the classroom and regular opportunities will be provided at points in the day for children to get a drink.
We continue to develop exciting play activities for all children at lunchtime and have recently started a project with a company called OPAL – Outdoor Play and Learning- to create a fun and exciting lunchtime experience for all children. You will have seen that children have been having lots of creative fun with chalks this week – look out for more news on these exciting developments over the following months.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding this term – I know things have not been easy at times but together we have all helped support one another. We appreciate everything you do for your families. I am sure you would wish to join me in thanking the amazing staff team here at Arboretum for the wonderful job they do every day to ensure your children are safe and happy and that they experience the best quality education each day.
I hope you all enjoy a lovely, relaxing holiday – my very best wishes to you all!
Mr Daintith
