We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Play Coordinator to join our Play Team. We are excited to be using the OPAL approach to play, to give all our children amazing play experiences, and our Play Team are a critical part of making this happen.
The role involves being part of the team that implements the OPAL approach within school. The successful candidate will obtain, store, monitor and replace a diverse range of play resources. They will be outside every lunchtime to supervise and support the children in ready, respectful and safe play, in line with the Play Policy and Risk Assessments. They will help to train and support other members of the play team in the OPAL approach, and work with children to inspire amazing play throughout the school.
The hours will be 15 hours 35 minutes per week, which will consist of core hours every lunchtime from 11:20am to 1:25pm plus 6 additional hours each week which would be worked flexibly to suit the role.
We are a large 643 place primary (which includes 32 children in our 2 year old unit and 78 in our 3 year old nursery), with a rich ethnic mix of delightful and well-behaved children. Our modern school has been refurbished and extensively extended and sits in large attractive grounds. We pride ourselves in our caring ethos and the value we place in our dedicated and friendly staff teams. We are a popular school, and have a waiting list for most year groups.
