Monday 4th May 2020
Hello UKS2 children and carers,
We hope that you have had a good week and didn’t find the heat too much during the first week of Ramadan. The weather seems to have changed somewhat, which may mean that we need to find more activities to do inside, rather than in the garden. Please look at the calendar below and access the learning on each of the days. If you have any problems with accessing work online, please let school know and we will do all we can to help you. The daily calendar has lots of excellent lessons that are specific to year groups using https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/dailylessons.
Activities that you could try this week:
We have flagged up this website before but we would like you to look at a specific task this week. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/dailylessons
Click on year 6 and the Short and Long multiplication lesson on the 28th April.
Year 5’s should be ok with this too. Try the worksheets, then check the answers

Take care and enjoy your week!
We know that many of our lovely children love to be busy and keep their learning on track. Below is another website with some excellent resources that will help to keep their brains busy and ease the boredom. Please encourage your child to look at this website if possible.
Here are a few photos of your teachers reading on Friday’s Pyjamarama Day
It’s lovely to see the little ones loving reading already. Can you believe that Aubrey (Mrs Darling’s little girl) celebrated her 6 month birthday. How time flies.
Please can we remind you that each child will have a learning pack available from the school office every Friday between 9.00 and 3.00. Please can one person come to pick up the packs and encourage your child to complete the work. If you feel that the learning in the pack would be too challenging for your child, please ask and we can let you have a different pack.
Thank you for all your support and please let us know if we can help you in any way and we will do our best to help.
