Hello LKS2 parents and carers,

I hope you are all well and keeping yourselves safe in these difficult times. So we keep you informed of what the teachers are doing and how you can work with your children, I will be posting a letter onto the school’s website every week.

Key stage 2 team update

We have all been working in different ways:

  • Miss Paget has been at school all last week and this week looking after a small group of children. Because the weather was so good, a lot of the time was spent outdoors.
  • Miss Allen had her birthday but couldn’t go out to celebrate.
  • Miss Worrall, Mrs Iqbal, Mrs Bexon, Miss Allen have been home schooling their children they have been doing lots of baking, reading, dancing, singing, cleaning, playing, gardening, jigsaw puzzles and going on walks ( 2 metres apart from others though!)
  • Mrs Ridgard has been doing gardening but has had to go into self-isolation as her husband was sent home from work.
  • Mrs Baker was on Radio Derby singing in her local choir.
  • Unfortunately, Mrs Credland has been ill and is self-isolating, she is recovering though. We hope she feels better soon.
  • Class 11’s potatoes are growing well in Mrs Cross’ greenhouse.
  • Mrs Dundon-Innis has been to virtual playgroup and virtual baby college with baby Paul
  • We have all been writing your children’s school reports and finishing any school work we have to do.
  • We all joined the nation and applauded the NHS on Thursday 26th March at 8pm, they are doing a fantastic job.
