Extended Schools

The Extended Schools department is run by Mr Malooq and Mr Pemberton. The department provides various services and activities to benefit the parents as well as the children of Arboretum Primary School.

The department runs a highly successful breakfast club every day providing a healthy, nutritious breakfast and fun, energising games to help the children get ready for the learning day ahead.  Various clubs are also run afterschool by Mr Malooq, Mr Bethell and school staff over the year to give children a variety of opportunities to excel.  Some of the clubs on offer are dance, karate, football, basketball, dodge ball, tag rugby, multi games, cookery, film and many more.

During the school holidays, the department offers opportunities to experience special activities such as rock climbing, DJ skills, arts and craft, music workshops and many more. We also run a play scheme where the children can play and enjoy their favourite games and sports with their friends.

Throughout the year the Extended Schools department will organise day trips and family residential trips to the biggest attractions and resorts in the UK. We feel it is important to educate our children and the families of Arboretum by giving them rare opportunities to see and experience the rest of the UK. Some of the trips the families have enjoyed in the past are Skegness, Drayton Manor, Alton Towers, Twinlakes, West Midlands Safari Park and 5 day residential trips to Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Devon and London.
