The library at Arboretum reflects the huge importance we place on developing the children's love of reading. Our new library and outdoor reading courtyard was opened in July 2019 by Professor Kathryn Mitchell, the Vice Chancellor of Derby University.

We have a large range of books available for all ages; from picture books to children's novels as well as topic related non-fiction texts, which are also used by teachers to enhance the learning in class.

Every child, all the way from the Two Year Old Nursery to Year 6, has the opportunity to visit the library regularly. Children in Reception to Year 6 are able to take out a book each for two weeks at a time.
