September Newsletter 2022

Dear Parents and Carers,
School is open again tomorrow- Monday 5th September.
I hope you have all had a wonderful summer and are now excited about the children all returning to school.
The school gates are open from 8.45 to 9am each day and from 8.30am for our nursery children.
We look forward to seeing you all again - we have an exciting year of learning and fun ahead!

Welcome back to school everyone! It has been so lovely to see all your smiling faces as you have returned to school this week- both parents and children! Thank you for supporting school by making sure your children have all the necessary equipment and correct uniform/PE kit to enable them to access all the learning in school each day.
We look forward to seeing you all in school over the next few days as teachers invite you to parent information meetings so you can find out key information for this term.
Every time you attend an event in school you will be given a coloured ticket to complete - I will keep all these and we will do a prize draw at the end of the term for lucky parent winners from each phase.
Please note that we do not allow parents to pass food, drinks or sweets through the school fence at breaks or lunchtimes.
We would like to invite you all into school for a Parent and Child picnic on Thursday 15th September - this will be very similar to the lovely Eid picnic we all enjoyed together in the summer term. More details will be given nearer the time.

Family Picnic Thursday 15th September

The Corden Street gates will be open for all of you from 11.45am and you will be able to go onto the field and join up with your children who will be having a picnic school lunch outside. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink also to share with your family and friends. You will be able to stay until approx 1.10pm and then you will leave via the Cambridge St gates or back through the main entrance on Corden St.
We will let you know on the morning of the picnic if it needs to be cancelled due to bad weather.
We look forward to seeing you all in school again for a lovely occasion together.

I am writing to confirm that school will be closed on Monday 19th September 2022. This has been announced as a bank holiday for the state funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
We expect to see everyone back in school on Tuesday 20th September.
