January 2023 Newsletter
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to school – it has been lovely to see all our families return to school this week. It has been an amazing week with visits from Rainforest Dave and author Kath Wheatley to enrich our Wildlife Superhero topic this term.
Please see the attached poster about a special lunch available for all children next week on Thursday 19th January.
A date for your diary – Tuesday 14th February – Mrs Bexon will be leading a parent online safety workshop in Hall 1 at 2.45pm – all parents are invited to come along to hear top tips about how to use the Internet and IT devices safely at home.
We drew 5 coloured tickets out from the 1,800 tickets given out to parents last term who attended school events. The lucky winners are:
Orchard- Stefan L
EYFS- Amal A
KS1 – Aminah M
LKS2 – Amber F
UKS2- Sima J
Congratulations! – a prize will be awarded to the children in school – thank you to you all for your continued support with school. We will continue giving out more tickets this year and we look forward to seeing you at lots of different school events.
Attendance at school and being on time for school every day is really important for your child’s education. Please note the following details about school times and being late to school.
Please note that the school gates close at 9am and any child arriving after this will need to go round to the main reception where their details will be added to the late log – this then goes to the attendance team for adding onto the register information –Please note that any child arriving after 9.30am each day will be recorded as an unauthorised absence for the morning session unless there is a valid reason eg. A medical appointment
My very best wishes to you all.
