Welcome to Year 3 & 4
Do you have any ideas for this page? Why not let you Teacher know!
Dear Parents, Carers and Year 3 and 4 children,
A Very Warm Welcome to you all
Our return to school is going to be a little different to normal. So we thought we would write a letter to explain the changes/
School uniform should be worn. We will keep class windows and doors open, so make sure your child has a black jumper or cardigan to keep warm. THIS YEAR ONLY, trainers can be worn – preferably black. No high heels, sandals or flip-flops please.
In Class 9, your child will have PE on Monday and Friday.
In Class 10, your child will have PE on Monday and Friday.
In Class 11, your child will have PE on Monday and Tuesday.
In Class 12, your child will have PE on Monday and Tuesday.
In Class 13, your child will have PE on Monday and Tuesday.
On these days, your child needs to come to school in their PE kit including trainers. See pictures below. PE will take place outside so wear a tracksuit. Do not bring a PE bag into school. Thank you.
Bring a named water bottle in every day and take it home every night to be washed.
Homework and Reading
Children will be given homework each week in their red homework book. It will be given out on Friday and handed back in on Tuesday. Each week, we will check that this is completed. Please read with your child every night and write in their reading diary.
Speaking with the class teacher
It won’t be as easy to speak to your child’s class teacher at the classroom door as before. If we need to speak to you we will text you during the school day so you know we would like to talk to you, or you can email us with your question or concern.
Thank you for your support,
Year 3-4 Team
YEAR 3 & 4 AT ALTER ROCK
Year 3 and 4 have been visiting Alter Rock as part of our geography learning. Our focus country is Chile and the children have been finding out all about the mountains in Chile and comparing them to those in the UK. The children had a great time learning new skills and finding out what it might be like to climb a mountain.
